What this site collects

A short, plain-English notice. Updated 26 April 2026.

I. Who is behind this

This is a small editorial site published privately. It has no employees, no commercial offering, and no business address open to the public. Correspondence is read at info@jennifercunningham.ie.

II. What is collected

The site uses a self-hosted instance of Matomo to count page views. Matomo records the URL you visited, an anonymised IP address, the page that referred you, and a coarse description of your browser and device. It does not record your name, your email, or anything you type. There is no third-party advertising, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, and no cross-site tracking.

If you write to the contact email above, the resulting message is stored in a private mailbox and read by the editor.

III. Legal basis and retention

Anonymised analytics are kept for fourteen months and then aggregated, on the legal basis of legitimate interest. Email correspondence is kept for as long as is reasonably useful and then deleted, on the basis that the sender initiated contact. No data is sold, rented, traded, or shared with any third party except where required by law.

IV. Your rights under GDPR

You may ask, by email, what is held about you, ask that it be corrected, ask that it be deleted, ask that it be exported in a portable format, or ask that processing stop. Requests are answered within thirty days. Complaints may be made to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

V. Cookies

Matomo sets a first-party cookie used only to count unique visits. There are no advertising cookies. You can clear or block site cookies through your browser without affecting access to any content here.
